Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the sequel to 2018’s open-world, medieval setting role-playing game, has been delayed to Feb. 11, 2025. Developer Warhorse Studios confirmed the delay in an X post earlier on Thursday.
The game had been tabbed for launch sometime this year. In a video on X, Warhorse spokesman Tobias Stolz-Zwilling acknowledged this constituted a delay even if the game did not have a specified release date.
“We aimed for the end of the year and … almost made it,” he said. “Almost is not good enough though, so, unfortunately we slipped to 2025. However, at least we have a real, precise release date now.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will still have a large presence at Gamescom next week. The game will get a trailer during Opening Night Live, which airs at 2 p.m. EDT on Aug. 20. On Aug. 21, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will see a 25-minute gameplay deep dive video via YouTube. And anyone attending Gamescom in Cologne, Germany will be able to play a demo on the show floor.
What is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 about?
The sequel will conclude the epic story begun with Kingdom Come: Deliverance; in fact the sequel was announced less than a year after the first title, a critical and commercial success, launched for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. This means that the protagonist will be the same — Henry of Skalitz, a blacksmith who rises to knighthood in Central Bohemia during the early 15th century. The sequel’s map is also said to be twice as large as the first game’s.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will launch on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
