Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, the popular and critically acclaimed action-adventure from Respawn Entertainment that launched last spring, will release a version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Sept. 17, Electronic Arts announced in a post on X.
The game is a sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which originally launched for PS4 and Xbox One and later received native versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. So far, Jedi Survivor had only been available for those consoles and for PC.

Some boo-birds on X, replying to EA, were skeptical that the current-generation version could be adapted to 11-year old hardware.
“Last gen players are gonna love the super smooth experience of 5 FPS,” said one. “[Bleep] is gonna run in negative FPS. Others went on to complain that the current-generation version still needed unspecified fixes.
Well, a news release from Electronic Arts said the PC version — which suffered from bugs and performance issues at launch — would get an update “in the coming weeks.” The statement said the patch would cover “technical performance, controls, and more, plus a variety of quality-of-life improvements.”
What were Jedi Survivor’s problems at launch?
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launched at the end of April 2023. PC players noted abysmal frame rates at launch, which EA actually blamed on players still using the Windows 10 operating system instead of Windows 11.
Nonetheless, it followed up on the original appeal of Jedi: Fallen Order — a story-driven, single-player narrative adventure instead of an attempt at a live-service game, like Marvel’s Avengers, which had disappointed fans and critics alike.
Jedi Survivor received favorable reviews, and was nominated for several awards, including at The Game Awards 2023, but only won two, for its musical score.
