Google has announced it’ll add support for prediction markets data into its Finance section, as it begins to explore data from these platforms.
The announcement came in on Thursday (October 6) with a new suite of AI features added to Google Finance, with the upgrades aiming to help people make sense of the financial world.
Among the additions is the ability to use Deep Search for a thorough AI response, so people can ask a question and get the information they’re looking for through the Deep Search option. This is alongside the introduction into the data from prediction markets.
“We’re also adding support for prediction markets data from Kalshi and Polymarket, so you can ask questions about future market events and harness the wisdom of the crowds. Just ask something like “What will GDP growth be for 2025?” directly from the search box to see current probabilities in the market and how they’ve changed over time,” a Google Keyword blog stated.

The prediction market data will be rolled out over the coming weeks, with Labs users being the first to be able to see the introduction.

This marks a major shift, as the search engine giant’s new foray into this world could be seen as a positive marker within the market. Meanwhile, many state regulators are issuing warnings to operators.
In Pennsylvania, the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), Kevin F. O’Toole, has spoken out as they claim the “growing presence” of these markets is a “significant threat” to the state’s regulations.
In Arizona, the Department of Gaming has sent communications to approved sportsbooks in the state warning them that offering prediction markets outside of Arizona could put their license at risk. Others have also shared concerns including the likes of Illinois, Ohio and Tennessee.
