After a couple of years of hype, Arc Raiders is on the horizon, and you’ll have the opportunity to get accustomed to the game ahead of the official launch.

This will be through the Arc Raiders Playtest but sadly, it’s not just an open invite for everyone to get involved.

Instead, you’ll have to be granted access and here, we’ll take you through exactly how to be a part of it.

How to get into the Arc Raiders Playtest

Currently, there is only one way of gaining entry to the Arc Raiders Playtest – via hitting the ‘Request Access’ button on the Steam store page for the game.

You can head to the official Arc Raiders website and hit the big ‘Playtest on Steam’ button on the homepage, but this just takes you to the aforementioned Steam page anyway so might as well skip that step.

One thing to note here though is that even though you are requesting access, it doesn’t mean it’s an absolute guarantee you’ll get in.

Instead, it’s up to the developers to divide the keys out however they like, potentially meaning you’ll have to sit on the side-lines.

Since the Playtest isn’t until late October, there could be more methods of getting access, but we’ll just have to wait and see on that.

Twitch Drops seems to be the go to for this in recent times with games like Delta Force: Hawk Ops taking this route, so we’d probably suggest keeping an eye out on both Arc Raiders’ socials and Twitch itself to see if this game follows suit.

Even though the game is also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, sadly it looks like this Playtest won’t be available on console.

Instead, you’ll just have to wait for the Arc Raiders release date to come around, or if a subsequent Playtest/Beta gets announced closer to launch.
