The early access version of the cryptocurrency battle royale game Off the Grid launched on Sony’s PlayStation 5, Microsoft’s Xbox, and the Epic Game Store.

The game is part of the Xbox Insiders program and will only “be available to selected players on Xbox Series X in North America and Europe who are part of the Xbox Insider Program.”
How to get access to Off The Grid
Xbox players have to install the Xbox Insider Hub application, join the program and then download the game’s early access version. The Epic Store page dedicated to the game lists “Blockchain/NFT” among the game’s tags and the description features a disclaimer reading:
“This game supports or includes the use of Blockchain, NFT technology, or Cryptocurrency. All transactions and related activity, payments for in-game purchases, refunds, and customer support are handled by the publisher of this product.”
The game’s PlayStation store page shows that it is available for free and is currently in early access, with 533 ratings giving it an average of 4.14 stars out of five.
Off the Grid’s trailers and images suggest that — unlike most crypto games — it features modern 3D graphics on par with other big titles. The game is free to play and allows players to trade in-game assets on Gunzilla’s GUNZ blockchain.
GUNZ is built on a custom version of the Avalanche (AVAX) blockchain software stack and is meant to allow developers to integrate player-driven economies into their games. In late March, Gunzilla announced that it closed a $30 million funding round co-led by Avalanche, showing a deep connection with the project.
